Ascom a71 is a smart and rugged two-way messaging pager with advanced personal safety features. Equipped “man-down” or “no-movement” alarm sensors, the a71 can trigger a distress alarm in case the user cannot.  It also features a pull-cord triggers a distress alarm if it is forcibly snatched.  The a71 has a large display for clear visibility of messages, plus combines infra-red (IR) and low frequency (LF) on-site positioning technologies in the same pocket-sized handset.

One of the most prominent features of the Ascom a71 is its size. The messaging unit is large enough to display messages clearly and small enough to be easy to carry.

The Ascom a71 is also available as “intrinsically safe,” designed for use in potentially explosive environments. Ascom follows the ATEX directive for Europe, CSA certification for N. America and the IECEx scheme for rest of the world.
